Siem Riep
Phnom Penh
Welcome to Cambodia!
After almost seven hours over the Mekong river I did it to this amazing city. I never expected such a great city; modern, interesting and joyful. Unfortunately I only got 1 1/2 day to explore everything…
Chau Doc
This is the last city in Vietnam before crossing the border to Cambodia. Tomorrow it’s time to say good bye to Vietnam, as we are taking a four hour boat trip from Chan Doc to Phnom Pen.
Vietnam, I definitely will come back. Such a beautiful country!! Really can recommend it for everyone!
Mekong Delta
This was an absolute beautiful boat trip on the Mekong River. We have been picked up by bus in Ho Chi Minh and boarded the ‘Mekong Eyes’ in Can Tho, spend a night on board and did amazing trips through the jungle by bicycle and walking. Then we continued by land our trip to Chau Doc.
Ho Chi Minh City
Or Saigon. With a two hour delay due to previous storms I finally arrived in this amazing city. It’s a mixture if tradition and modern trends, chaos and friendly people. I mostly explore the city by walking which is really hard because of its temperature and humidity.
Something really tough is the War Remnants museum showing the war in pictures. So many civilian people were killed, absolutely cruel. I would say the Vietnamese Holocaust. Nevertheless I have spent a great day in this huge city.
Stormy Nha Trang
A storm has tried to follow me for the last couple of days and finally catches me in Nha Trang. A city at the beach, famous for diving and a Russian paradise. My diving plans have been cancelled and now I’m stuck with hundreds of Russian in this town (I would say that Nha trang disappointed me a lot, as everything is in Russian and made for Russian tourists. The amazing Vietnamese atmosphere has gone, so sad). Well, just had an excuse to make beauty and spa day, not so bad. Hope my flight to Saigon (now Ho Chi Minh City) will not get cancelled.
