Phi Phi Island

After the ‘tragedy’ of Koh Phangan, I finally arrived to paradise. Koh Phi Phi is a dream. It was sunny and warm, a white sandy beach and a beautiful turquoise ocean. This island is also known for the set of the movie The Beach, there is really no way to appreciate this beach because of hundreds of tourists and tourists boats. Fortunately the island has other beautiful spots.

Koh Phangan

Arriving at Thailand’s paradise -the beaches- I realized that I was really disappointed about this Island. First, I was really angry about the hotel as I tried to change a four night booking into a two night (already paid). They argue that it wasn’t possible to cancel just two nights. I had to cancel everything and then get two nights for USD 1000 each!!! I kept my four night reservation. Then it was stormy and raining. The next village to the hotel had no power, as they making a new road. My last night was a nightmare as I figured out the ceiling of my bed at the fancy Santhiya Koh Phangan Resort & Spa wasn’t waterproof at all!
Fortunately a friend was there, so it was still a pleasant stay (thanks Hannah).
One is for sure, I never ever will stay at this resort!
